Dear Alisa and Gina,
My new doctor has bad breath. Should I say something? ~ Trying to be Patient
No, just grin and bare it. ~ Gina
There’s no right or wrong answer for this. Most important though is that you choose an option that allows you to deal with this issue once and move on.
Here are some other ways to handle it:
- Offer a breath mint.
- Let the doctor know why you left your old doctor and mention what you’re looking for in the new relationship, perhaps good bed-side manner, good listening, open communication. So then you say, and that’s why I’m going to mention this to you…
- Tell this new doctor, my old doctor had terrible bad breath and I couldn’t stand it any longer.
- Find someone new.
